Mechanical Engineer

with Aeronautical or Maritime Background
Location: Combination of Home and Office working with occasional site visits
Working hours: 37 hours per week

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Engineering, 5+ years of experience in design and consultancy, professional registrations, and a blend of technical skills and industry knowledge.

Duties

  • Use simulations to analyse steel structure.
  • Assess stress, strain, and deformation under various conditions.
  • Enhance designs based on analysis insights.
  • Evaluate the strength and stability of ship and/or aerospace structures.
  • Identify weaknesses and propose enhancements.
  • Collaborate with design teams to optimize products.
  • Assist in solving queries related to engineering designs.
  • Validate designs using advanced analysis techniques.
  • Produce reports detailing analysis outcomes for projects.
  • Communicate analysis results effectively to project teams.
  • Stay updated on the latest analysis methods in shipbuilding & aerospace.
  • Participate in training and conferences to enhance skills.

Experience
